Traceability System Overcomes RFID Complexities
Domino Printing Sciences and Omron Electronics have formed an alliance to provide customers with a flexible and cost-effective method of linking product identification and RFID.
Compliant with both GAMP 4 (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) and 21CFR Part 11, the DSL-1 Pharma can be supplied with comprehensive validation documentation making installation much simpler than alternative products and making upgrades from earlier technology, such as embossing, simple to achieve and cost effective.
Product Traceability System Also on Domino's stand at Interphex 2006 will be its Product Traceability System (PTS), a fully automated system that applies smart labels with embedded RFID tags, directly onto outer cases.
Human readable text and barcodes can either be printed by ink jet or laser technology remotely to the label, therefore providing flexibility for tag placement, or combined within a printed label format.
The PTS can be integrated within an existing production line, or installed independently for batch processing of specific customer orders.
