Design Chain Associates at the NEDA Summit
Design Chain Associates will participate in the National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) RoHS/Lead-Free Summit, to be held on January 11, 2005 from 8 am to 5 pm in Dallas, Texas.
The component supply base has closed many factories and severely curtailed capital expenditures over the past three years.
They have neither the incentive nor funds to add capacity in many areas as demand strengthens.
How will this affect EOEMs? What can EOEMs do? How should they react?.

Always a nagging issue, this is set to become an even moren significant problem.

The European Union is placing new demands on material composition of products shipped into and within it starting July 1, 2006.
Many EOEMs and even suppliers are not taking this seriously and believe it to just be "a manufacturing problem".
