Data Systems International (DSI) has announced the availability of dcLINK TIMETrac 9.0, the latest release of the company's paperless solution for time, attendance and labour reporting.

DcLINK TIMETrac 9.0 captures time, attendance, and labour data electronically at the point of work, so that accurate, real-time data can be used for managing the workforce, planning work schedules, ensuring proper accounting for work order operations, controlling costs, and streamlining payroll processing.

DcLINK TIMETrac integrates with leading enterprise applications and payroll processing systems.

OYO Geospace uses dcLINK TIMETrac 9.0 in its Calgary, Alberta, Canada, manufacturing facility to collect and manage employee time data, streamline payroll processes, and capture labor data as part of the work process.

The company also uses DSI's dcLINK for inventory transactions for manufacturing processes in the Calgary facility.

Integration of dcLINK TIMETrac and dcLINK with Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne enables OYO Geospace to save time, reduce costs, and achieve business process improvements.

The company previously used manual processes and homegrown legacy software to collect and manage time data.

'Using dcLINK TIMETrac 9.0, we can review and approve employee time data more efficiently, and prepare our payroll data for upload to our payroll processor in a matter of minutes, rather than hours,' said Bobby Hoeflich, director of information technology, OYO Geospace.

Hoeflich added: 'We can also more accurately apply labour to work orders on our shop floor.

'We can now see, in real-time, how much labour has been applied to a work order and that information is seamlessly integrated with our JD Edwards application.'.
