CAAV5 software partnership with Elysium
Native V5 data integration will exploit CAA V5 infrastructure for data quality and consistency.
Dassault Systemes (DS), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, has announced that Elysium, an independent company that develops software for 3D geometry data translation and validation, has joined its CAA V5 (Component Application Architecture) development program as a CAA V5 Software Partner "We are pleased to extend and strengthen our relationship with the leading PLM company by becoming a CAA V5 Software Partner," said Hilo Yano, Chief Operating Officer of Elysium

3D XML integrated with IBM Workplace
IBM and Dassault Systemes have announced the integration of 3D XML technologies into the IBM Workplace portfolio of software products and solutions, and IBM Lotus Notes.
"Elysium's best-in-class software not only converts 3D data from one system to another, but also checks for errors before and after each translation, making it a quality choice for DS customers".
With Catia V5, Dassault Systemes delivers robust tools for importing and exporting data via the International Standards IGES and ISO 10303 (Step).
DS' interoperability solutions are based on a unique set of CAA V5 APIs dedicated to geometry import, the common and unique platform for DS' and its partners' solutions, which enables optimal use of imported data within V5 applications.

Initiative to change design and manufacture ideas
IBM and Dassault Systemes have a 'cross-industry' initiative aimed at fostering innovation and transforming the way their customers design, manufacture and deliver products to the market.
Elysium will complement these existing products by providing easy and robust access to native 3D data generated outside the V5 environment.
The new CAAV5 software development partnership will see Elysium develop and market a specialised application to bring multi-CAD geometry into Delmia, ensuring the data complies with V5 quality standards.
This translator is the first Step in an expanding partnership that will include the ability to import to the DS' brands Catia, Enovia, and Simulia and 3D XML, as well as Delmia.
Future Elysium products will check and convert 3D data from other CAD software brands.
"We are delighted to upgrade Elysium to CAA V5 Software Partner," said Thierry Charron, President, Dassault Systemes Provence.
"This new product from Elysium for Delmia will allow users to achieve time and cost savings by directly importing foreign data to V5 while assuring 3D data quality and consistency".
As with existing Dassault Systemes Multi-CAD products, Delmia customers will be able to create digital manufacturing definition from both V5 and non-V5 data representations.
Imported parts and product structures referenced within this digital manufacturing definition can be synchronised with their originating CAD systems.
When changes are made to the original foreign models, the digital manufacturing definition can be updated automatically.
