Indicating continuing DVT business growth in Europe: Ian Tatton is now European Marketing Director, while Chris Pitt has become Director of Business development for the UK and Ireland.

Machine Vision leader DVT Corporation has announced two appointments that indicate continuing business growth in Europe Ian Tatton is promoted to European Marketing Director, while Chris Pitt joins to become Director of Business development for the UK and Ireland

"Continued business growth in Europe means DVT can serve its markets in both a deeper and a broader way," said the companyy's Corporate Communications Director Bob Settle.

"These two appointments enable us to further expand the profile of DVT across the European continent, while simultaneously dedicating more attention to meeting customer needs in the British Isles." Both appointments take effect on 1st March 2005.

Ian Tatton, who has fulfilled both a sales and a marketing role in DVT UK for three years, has a background in programming, IT training and technology business development.

"Having put a structure in place, we can now take it to the next level," he said.

"Chris Pitt brings significant Vision Industry experience to focus exclusively on customer needs in the UK, while I can concentrate on implementing a strategy to run aggressive campaigns in key markets, as well as raising our profile among the newer EU member states." Chris Pitt, who has worked in Machine Vision for ten years, says his experience in applications support, as well as developing business at several vision companies, means he can deliver a high quality service to customers.

"I have an in depth knowledge of lighting and lenses".

"I know the range of products a customer can choose from and how to work with the right people to get a job done well," said Pitt.

"I have no marketing remit to split my attention, so I can work exclusively to help our customers and distributors such First Sight Vision, a great company which I formerly enjoyed working for over the years.".
