Plasma-arc power source that can be fitted with a combination of torches for plasma cutting and marking eliminates downtime and improves productivity.

The precision plasma EPP 200 is a new power source that can be fitted with a combination of torches for plasma cutting and marking.

It has been introduced by Esab Automation to provide fabricators with a highly flexible solution to both requirements, eliminating downtime and improving productivity.

The EPP 200 can plasma cut materials up to 50mm thickness.

It has an integrated and high frequency console that permanently provides 5 to 200 amps for plasma cutting and high speed marking.

Cutting speeds are typically 3.750mm/min for 10mm mild steel.

Esab's PT-24 torch is recommended for up to 100A work and the PT-600 torch for up to 200A applications.

Weld edge preparation work can also be undertaken up to 45 using VBA-expert.

With the PT-600 torch VBA-Expert use permits variable bevel cutting at maximum cutting speed without any negative effects on cut quality.

Apart from mild steel, the EPP 200 can also be used as the power source for plasma cutting high alloy steels and aluminium using argon/hydrogen as the plasma gas.
