Cooljet torch automates oxy-fuel gas
cutting

Esab Cutting Systems has introduced a conversion package allowing oxy-fuel gas cutting machine users to convert to Esab's Cooljet torch to raise productivity.

Esab Cutting Systems' conversion package allows oxy-fuel cutting machine manufacturers to convert simply to the advantages of Cooljet cutting torch technology For fully automated cutting processes, the robust Cooljet torch features an integrated oxygen cooling system that ensures the best productivity levels, economy and safe operation, said Esab

* Cooljet operation - the Cooljet heating flame heats the raw material to ignition point and at the same time a small amount of heating oxygen flows via the cool flow valve through the cutting channel.

The oxygen flow cools the cutting nozzle efficiently and prevents hot gases from rising into the cutting channel.

The oxygen passes into the heating flame, making it particularly effective.

The Cooljet torch is easy to maintain, said Esab to manufacturingtalk, with torch and nozzle life some two-three times longer then correctional torches.

Increased productivity is gained thanks to pre-heat times that are 30% shorter and higher cutting speeds.

Esab added that greater utilisation of the cutting machine also results in lower production costs.

The Cooljet conversion kits for acetylene or propare/ natural gas/ mixed fuel gas includes torches, heating and cutting nozzles, safety devices, shut-off valve, cleaning needles and nozzle cleaning kit.

A range of accessories is also available. Request a free brochure from ESAB Cutting Systems ...
