"As national engineering shows see visitor attendances reduce, there is a great opportunity to continue expanding our exhibitions, both in terms of the number of exhibitors at each show and growth of quality visitors drawn from a manufacturing user base," he says.
"Our philosophy is simple and it works: by taking exhibitions to key manufacturing locations within the UK, ETES is making it easier and less time consuming for engineers to attend.
"It is essential to continuously develop products and services, and engineering exhibitions are no different.

The introduction of The Machine Tool and Tooling Centre, The Sub-contracting Centre, and The Used Machinery and Live Auction Centre will broaden the shows' appeal to exhibitors and visitors alike, especially as the exhibitions are located at venues convenient to the visitors' place of work.
"New exhibitors are being attracted by the introduction of these new Centres.
These initiatives and cost benefits, coupled with developing dialogue with this new exhibitor base, will ensure that ETES will match or exceed their demands to further assist sales of their products." Away from the exhibition floor ETES will continue to add value for exhibitor and visitor alike through its on-line information portal, which is undergoing a major overhaul to provide enriched content and search functions.
In doing this Chris Lever will be making use of skills honed during 20 years in engineering b2b publishing - latterly as Publishing Director and, more recently, through first-hand practical experience of how electronic information gathering and distribution has changed and influenced the selling and communication process.
Confirming the challenge ahead, Lever concludes: "As a regular visitor and exhibitor at numerous exhibitions over the years, it became obvious that their declining appeal to visitors is due to the lack of genuine new initiatives from organisers.
Therefore, I am delighted to be part of this dramatic move forward by ETES in the provision of quality engineering exhibitions and seminars.".
