The organiser, European Trade Exhibition Services, told manufacturingtalk.com that its new venue offers considerable scope for expansion.
ETES managing director Phil Valentine explained: "The move to Farnborough International is a really significant 'watershed' in the show's history.
For 2008 we have added over 25% more exhibition space and some new features, such as our new specialist aerospace/automotive engineering show Auto Aero 08, which will run alongside the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics events.
Everything that has made the Southern shows so successful will be there - such as the free seminar programmes, technology trails and specialist areas - but bigger and better than ever before.
We are confident that visitors and exhibitors will be delighted with the results".
As the venue for the world's largest outdoor exhibition - the Farnborough International Airshow - the site is ideally suited to the needs of the South's number-one manufacturing event.
Unlimited space for expansion and demonstration purposes, triple the amount of free car parking, superb access by road, rail or air, and an excellent selection of local hotels and restaurants are just some of the benefits that both visitors and exhibitors will enjoy at the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show 2008.
The venue is located south-west of London on the main railway to Southampton.
It is also accessible from nearby Heathrow and Gatwick airports, or cross London from Stanstead, City or Luton airports.
Entry to Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2008 is free.
