A keypad can be tailor-made for applications within demanding and harsh environments and include 12- or 16-key keypads with a choice of telephone or hexadecimal II configurations.

EAO, a leader in vandal-resistant keypad and keyboard technology, specialises in building fully-customised, illuminated keypads, which are ready to integrate within any application.

Using the S.series keypad that is constructed from ultra-tough Zamac, EAO can design a stylish and distinctive keypad solution tailor-made for applications within demanding and harsh environments.

They are well suited to security and access control applications, particularly within unsupervised areas.

EAO's standard products within the S.series range include 12- or 16-key keypads with a choice of telephone or hexadecimal II configurations.

There are extensive possibilities for customisation, such as 'halo' illumination around the character on each key in a range of colours or combination of colours.

A library of more than 20 different illuminated key characters is available as standard.

EAO also offers a character-design service if special markings are required as well as laser engraving facilities for non-illuminated keypads (subject to minimum order quantities), EAO's innovative approach to individual projects makes use of flexible in-house development and manufacturing technologies.

They will advise on issues such as environmental protection, mounting, cable and termination, end user-friendliness and tactile feel to ensure the best solution for each customer.

S.series keypads offer superior performance and high-tactile feedback to provide a reassuring feel for the user.

Sealed to IP67 against water and dust as well as resistant to heat, shock and vibration, they require minimal maintenance and therefore deliver excellent value in terms of lifecycle-cost benefits.

They are tested for lifetime quality to 4 million operations, certified according to the latest international standards, and are RoHS compliant.
