News Release from: EAO | Subject: CAN module for CANbus

CAN module enables Field bus HMI usage

Compact CAN module makes use of field bus systems, which when used in an operator's panel reduces the need for large cable harnesses and wiring, therefore cutting installation time.

The compact, new CAN module from EAO, the experts in human machine interfaces, can be supplied in a fully-approved operator panel that is ready for plugging-in to a wide range of applications EAO will connect high-quality control-panel components such as pushbuttons, switches, potentiometers, seven-segment displays or any other component to its new CAN module and deliver it ready to use within an integrated CANbus solution

Most importantly, EAO's CANbus solutions utilise standard, fully-approved and tested products so customers do not have to obtain these approvals for themselves.

These solutions are particularly well suited to transportation and specialist vehicles, machinery, process control and panel building, but EAO can design one for almost any application.

At the heart of the solution is the EAO CAN module, a compact unit measuring just 70 (L) x 50 (W) x 23mm (H).

With a high number of I/Os (maximum 128 contacts and up to 128 outputs dimmable; eight analog in- and eight analog outputs), this module offers a high ratio of functionality to size.

EAO will adjust the CAN-module configuration to provide the necessary signals for each customer's panel solution.

Hardware and software is supplied as part of the solution.

Using field bus systems within the operator's panel reduces the need for large cable harnesses and wiring, therefore cutting installation time, and the self-diagnostic functions make fault-finding much easier. Request a free brochure from EAO ...
