Fast-growing Thai restaurant chain, Nakhon Thai has rejected a packaged solution for new IT systems, in favour of a new solution, developed by e-novations
Fast-growing Thai restaurant chain, Nakhon Thai has rejected a packaged solution for new IT systems, in favour of a new solution, developed by e-novations, a leading UK retail systems and ecommerce specialist.
Shah Choudhury, Nakhon Thai's marketing director, explained, "This may be an unusual way to procure IT but we prefer to work closely with a trusted partner to get what we want; when we started this process, we simply could not find anything suitable to our needs".
"We also felt that packages would simply be too hard to make changes to and we were looking for flexibility and the ability to make changes ourselves." e-novations developed head office systems for Nakhon Thai that now enable the company to manage their business from anywhere in the world, via a PC or hand-held computer.
Choudhury explained, "We are building a global business, so our directors will need access to each restaurant from wherever they happen to be." e-novations also built Nakhon Thai's web site, which enables the company to take reservations on line and link them directly into the till system where availability can be checked.
e-novations has also enabled Nakhon Thai to access a number of reports so that it can monitor the performance of each restaurant and make changes quickly; reports include, sales per branch, staffing performance and general management information.
Choudhury added, "There are no packages that can do all this, whereas we now have a system that not only runs our business but enables us to do far more, including smart marketing".
"We will build as we go and we are confident that the system will enable us to manage a much larger and global business.".
