E-commerce investment paid off in only one month
Dr and Herbs has invested in an integrated e-commerce and EPOS solution from E-novations, a leading UK retail systems and e-commerce specialist.
Dr and Herbs, a UK chain of 120 health stores offering Chinese medicinal herbs, remedies, treatments and consultations, has invested in an integrated e-commerce and EPOS solution from E-novations, a leading UK retail systems and e-commerce specialist.
Dr and Herbs purchased an e-commerce website from E-novations, which went live in August and paid for itself in its first month.
As a result the company has now commissioned E-novations to provide a point of sale system to its 120 stores which is fully integrated with the online store.
John Wu of Dr and Herbs, said, "We chose E-novations because, when we visited four of e-novations customers, every one spoke highly of the company".
"E-novations can give us all the functions we need in a very reliable system." E-novations will provide Dr and Herbs stores with its Emperium for Retail solution, which has been proven in a wide variety of retail environments and provides full store management modules, as part of a wider supply chain software system.
Emperium Retail is fully integrated with the successful e-commerce website.
The first store to roll out the integrated solution went live at Brent Cross last month.
Integrating the web and EPOS systems offers benefits including:.
* Quick and simple access to stock levels and location both in-store and online, for all staff.
* All products monitored within one Product Management System.
* Online consultation booking, including an interface between the website and EPOS diary.
* Automatic customer record creation.
Customer profiling is a key module.
From the website, customers can request health advice from Dr and Herbs doctors.
They can make appointments online and complete registration.
On arrival for a consultation staff no longer need to make up record cards as all the client's details are stored, from the web enquiry form, within the EPOS system.
Clients can also choose to be reminded of appointments by SMS message.
