Achieving recognition from RoSPA for a fifth year running has resulted in a Gold Medal for Marshall Aerospace for their proven 8-year track record of successful accident/incident management.

Achieving recognition from RoSPA for a fifth year running has resulted in a Gold Medal for Marshall Aerospace for their proven 8-year track record of successful accident/incident management Qualifying for the Award meant that Marshall Aerospace had to provide evidence of excellent health and safety management practices and policies across the company, including accident/incident reduction statistics and near hit tracking

Additionally Marshall Aerospace was able to demonstrate an on-going proactive approach to reducing accidents and incidents through the extensive use of risk assessments.

This was achievable through the Marshall Aerospace implementation of a central system to capture and analyse comprehensive Health and Safety information.

Marshall Aerospace use EnvironmentIQ's RiskLedger to store, manage, track and analyse their critical Health and Safety risk management data.

Importantly RiskLedger is implemented through a colourful, user-friendly web portal incorporating a variety of interesting company activities making the system accessible and relevant to all at Marshall Aerospace.

The web portal is fundamental in underpinning the corporate culture where all employees contribute and participate in Health and Safety.

Phil Sprinks, Group Health and Safety Advisor at Marshall Aerospace, and his team are responsible for the health, safety and well being of some 2000 people across their Cambridge site.

Since 1998 Phil and his team have successfully reduced the accident/incident rate by over half and, lost employee days have reduced by 80% saving the organisation a costed estimate of a little over £1 million pounds.

"Our achievement has been hugely assisted by the EnvironmentIQ system and portal which provides a central database and reporting tool for data crucial to Marshall's risk management." said Phil.

"I believe that RiskLedger has been a key element in helping to improve awareness and in developing a health and safety conscious workforce.

The web portal has opened up the safety system to a wider audience off site too which helps the education process in the fight for continuous improvement in accident reduction as well as encouraging immediate reporting of accidents.

As we hold all information centrally reporting is quick and easy and we can provide accurate reports to the senior management team in an attractive and easily digestible format" Phil and his team are deservedly proud of their achievements and of their recent addition to a collection of Health and Safety Awards.

EnvironmentIQ are delighted to be part of Marshall Aerospace's success.

Mike Hedger, CEO at EnvironmentIQ said "A fifth successful year for Marshall Aerospace and recognition that their health and safety practices are excellent is great news.

EnvironmentIQ are proud that RiskLedger has contributed to their success and continues to provide the necessary tools for HandS risk management.

I would like to congratulate Phil Sprinks and the Health and Safety Team on their 5th Gold Medal RoSPA Award.
