Safety switch can be used at high locking forces
Safety switch for use in machine tools or other applications can be confidently used where locking forces up to 2500N are required and is protection rated to IP67.
The new STP safety switch from Euchner is specifically designed for use in machine tools or other applications where extremely high locking forces are anticipated.
It features a metal actuating head and an internal cam, ensuring that the switch can be confidently used where locking forces up to 2500N are required.
The safety switch housing is manufactured in glass fibre reinforced thermoplastic and is protection rated to IP67, making it ideal for use in environments where there is coolant, cutting oil or lubricant is in use.
The use of dual channel wiring for all versions also ensures the highest level of safety for both equipment and operators alike.
Ideally suited to both OEM and retrofit applications, the compact nature of the housing (196mm x 42mm x 40mm) ensures that it can be installed in any position, even where space is limited.
To further aid positioning, Euchner has provided three cable entry points so that the configuring the orientation of the switch is as simple as possible.
There is one actuator to suit all applications and doors up to 300mm radius can be catered for.
Two optional LED's can also be incorporated to indicate both door and solenoid positions if required.
The STP has four contact elements, incorporating positively driven NC/NO contacts, that can be supplied in various combinations.
The solenoid is 100% duty cycle rated with 24V AC/DC operation and has an 8 watt power consumption.
With the potential for 1mA current switching, these units are also suitable for use on safety control modules.
