Mobile metal clincher has bigger throat
area
A mobile sheet metal work assembly clincher has more generous throat area, combined with movable top ram to give easier access for the assembly of workpieces by the cold pressure technique.
A new mobile clincher available from Eckold provides even more advantages than the successful model previously on offer The latest Coneco 45/35E clincher is an ergonomic redesign, providing a more manoeuvrable product which weighs only 6.5kg, representing a 35% weight-saving over the earlier model

Gas springs are compact and do not spring back
Gas springs offer a much higher force in a smaller package than coil springs and on compression they do not spring back. They feature a closed, maintenance-free storage of energy.
Hand-held clincher joins sheet metal assemblies
Sheet metal shops, panel builders and general engineering fabricators can make use of a manual clinching unit that cold forms joints in sheet assemblies up to 3mm in thickness.
In addition, the operating trigger has been incorporated into the carrying handle for efficient one-handed operation.
A more generous throat area, combined with movable top ram also provides easier access for the assembly of workpieces by the cold pressure technique.
This versatile workshop tool offers both R-DF and S-DF clinching methods, providing a cost effective and more convenient alternative to spot welding or riveting.
It is both clean and quiet in operation, and designed for joining 2/3 layer mild steel or aluminium sheets with a combined thickness up to 3mm.
Simple adjustment only is required to accommodate different joining jobs.
A reduction in the number of moving parts has also increased reliability.
The flat-type ram is manually adjustable and the use of interchangeable tool holders guarantees maximum accessibility for a wide range of geometrically diverse assembly combinations.
With a stroke frequency of less than 1s, this easily mobile unit maximises production, achieving both quick and reliable clinching results, even when working with awkwardly shaped products.
Powered from a standard 230V single phase 50Hz supply, the Coneco delivers an ample pressure force of 35kN (3.5 tonf) with a power load of 0.75kW.
It eliminates problems associated with less readily available power sources, including hydraulic and pneumatic, with an optional transformer unit available where different voltages are used on site.
