A SKF Economos product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Mar 7, 2008

SKF Economos, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of industrial seals and engineered plastics, is now able to offer an extensive range of standard hydraulic seals and O-rings

The SKF Economos new ranges of hydraulic seals and O-rings are applicable to both rotating and reciprocating applications, in addition to its existing range of machined sealing solutions.

With this new expanded product offering, SKF Economos is able to provide its customers with access to a comprehensive range of seal technologies, together with all the benefits of using a single supplier.

The new range of standardised components includes both metric and imperial shaft seals, hydraulic seals and O-rings, which are all designed to enable OEMs and end users to reduce the maintenance requirements, and increase the service life, of industrial applications.

The SKF seals are proven to be effective at optimising productivity levels and reducing costs, by excluding contaminants and retaining lubricants, as well as separating fluids and gases and withstanding differences in pressure.

With direct access to the SKF extensive choice of seal types, sizes and tolerances, SKF Economos is able to provide the sealing solution for virtually any application, with components available that are especially resistant to aggressive temperatures or chemicals, in addition to wear and regular cleaning.

The expanded product offering is a result of the SKF Economos new position as a member of the SKF Group, enabling the company to combine its expertise in seal technology with the global SKF supply and support network.

In addition to this new range of standard seals, SKF Economos continues to lead the way in bespoke engineered plastics and sealing solutions, allowing the company to provide a complete service offering to its clients.
