Tough tractors have high strength frames

Electrically tow tractors, constructed from high strength tubular steel to ensure they are able to withstand the rigors of the harshest environmen, have owing capacities of 1, 2 and 3 tonnes.

Electricars, specialists in materials handling vehicles have launched a new range of tow tractors which are expected to become a popular method of electric transportation in a whole host of environments The ET range features 3-wheel tractors with towing capacities of one, two and three tonnes respectively

They are ideally suited to various materials handling applications, from waste or food transportation around a hospital site to transferring parts in an industrial complex.

With an optional attachment designed to collect trolleys, the ET range can also be an invaluable asset in supermarkets, retail parks and airports.

The tractor frames are constructed from high strength tubular steel to ensure they are able to withstand the rigors of the harshest environment, with the front axle also fabricated in steel.

Fitted as standard are a hydraulically operated footbrake and ratchet type handbrake, twin headlights, stop and tail lights.

The steering wheel lock is designed to give outstanding manoeuvrability to allow the tractors to operate in situations where space is limited.

Safety is also at the forefront of the ET range with an electronic controller to give infinitely variable speed control.

Commenting on the new range, Electricars National Accounts Manager John Holland said -" Electric vehicles are becoming an increasingly popular option in materials handling - they are clean, require minimal maintenance, are cost effective to run and offer an impressive performance.

This new range is very versatile, with platform versions soon available offering towing and carrying capability.

All trucks offer automotive type steering and standard options of weather protection, built-in-charge and various battery sizes".
