Press shops change oils - no flushing, refilling

An EFD product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team May 23, 2006

A precision lubrication system will apply two different oils - or other fluids - as a fine, consistent film on to sheet metal stock up to 24in wide, without lengthy downtime for flushing or refilling.

The EFD MicroCoat MC800 precision lubrication system will apply two different oils or other fluids on stock up to 24" wide, without lengthy downtime for flushing or refilling.

The MicroCoat system uses unique Low Volume Low Pressure (LVLP) technology to apply oil as a fine, consistent film that provides complete coverage without overspray or dripping.

The compact system's two-tank/two-manifold design allows two different fluids to be applied individually or simultaneously.

Each manifold can control up to four MicroCoat dispense valves, for uniform coverage of stock from less than 1in up to 24in wide.

Sample uses include quickly switching between oils for different stamping jobs, or simultaneously applying lubricant to stock as it enters the press and applying rust preventative to stamped parts as they come out of the press.
