Epicor in top 100 of Supply and Demand Chain
End-User Experiences of Parsons Brinckerhoff Highlighted for Success in making use of Epicor Procurement
Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine, the executive's user manual for successful supply chain transformation, this week announced that Epicor has been named to the fourth-annual listing of the Supply and Demand Chain Executive 100.
Epicor was chosen for the "100" for delivering solutions that truly enable the supply and demand chains of its end-users, as illustrated through the experience of customer Parsons Brinckerhoff.
"The Supply and Demand Chain Executive 100 is one way in which our magazine tries to help readers navigate the complex landscape of supply and demand chain solutions and service providers," explained Andrew Reese, editor of Supply and Demand Chain Executive magazine.
"The '100' list of companies is designed to showcase providers that have completed successful and innovative real-life supply chain implementations, and give our readers a starting place when looking for solutions to their own supply chain pain points." Founded in 1885, Parsons Brinckerhoff has helped shape some of the world's largest and most important public works projects, from MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) to the Sabiya power plant in Kuwait.
The company is utilizing Epicor Procurement, a complete purchasing management solution that creates a seamless connection between buyers and suppliers for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services, to facilitate its purchasing processes.
According to Suzanne Puccino, vice president and director of corporate services for Parsons Brinckerhoff, the ability to make on-contract purchases through Epicor Procurement has enabled Parsons Brinckerhoff to save money by maximizing its buying power to negotiate more favorable supplier contracts.
"It is an honor to be recognized in the Supply and Demand Chain Executive 100 for delivering real results to our customers," said James Norwood, vice president of product marketing for Epicor.
"Inclusion in the listing underscores Epicor's position as a leading provider of integrated software solutions that maximize customer and supplier relationships, resulting in a positive impact on the bottom line." Epicor and Parsons Brinkerhoff are featured in the cover story of the June/July 2005 issue of Supply and Demand Chain Executive, as well as online at www.SDCExec.com.
