Educational seminars highlight Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model

Epicor Software Corporation, a leading provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for the midmarket, has announced that, working in partnership with the European Supply Chain Council, it will be providing a series of free seminars to help companies of all sizes benefit from technology and the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model.

The all day events will start on the 25th of October in Glasgow, moving to the Midlands on 26th and concluding in Buckinghamshire on the 27th.

Each event will be introduced and hosted by Enrico Camerinelli, European Director of the Supply-Chain Council who will present an introduction to SCOR model with a detailed case study demonstrating how the model has significantly benefited one of the Supply-Chain Council members.

The Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR) is a process reference model that has been developed and endorsed by the Supply-Chain Council as the cross-industry standard diagnostic tool for supply-chain management.

SCOR enables users to address, improve, and communicate supply-chain management practices within and between all interested parties.

The Supply-Chain Council was organised in 1996 by Pittiglio Rabin Todd and McGrath (PRTM) and AMR Research, and initially included 69 voluntary member companies.

Today, The Supply-Chain Council now has closer to 1,000 corporate members worldwide and has established international chapters in North America, Europe, Greater China, Japan, Australia/New Zealand, South East Asia, Brazil and Southern Africa.

The Supply-Chain Council's membership consists primarily of practitioners representing a broad cross section of industries, including manufacturers, services, distributors, and retailers.
