Epicor and ACE Clearwater Take Top Honours
Epicor Recognised as a "Technology Enabler" for Client's Implementation of Its Industry Leading Manufacturing ERP Solution.
Start-IT magazine honoured Epicor Software Corporation with a Technology Enabler Award at the 9th Annual Technology and Business (TandB) Awards ceremony.
Exemplifying the power of software solutions, Epicor was recognised for providing ACE Clearwater Enterprises superior solutions in technology.
ACE won a TandB Vertical Industries Award for its implementation of Epicor Vantage, the industry's first manufacturing solution based on a 100-percent service-oriented architecture (SOA), and complete end-to-end manufacturing solution that addresses the core business needs of midsized make-to-order (MTO) and mixed-mode manufacturers.
This year marks the third TandB win for Epicor, having received recognition with Lakin General, DIX Metals, Standex International, and now ACE, for successful implementations of Epicor Vantage.
The TandB Awards honour manufacturers that have made their businesses succeed through the use of leading-edge technology.
"The Technology and Business Award winners have shown the vital role information technology can play as an enabler in accomplishing their business objectives," said John Buell, editor-in-chief of Start-IT.
"Each winner should be proud of themselves considering the strong competition this year".
ACE was awarded the TandB Vertical Industry Award for its successful implementation of advanced manufacturing software technology.
Located in Torrance, California, ACE manufactures complex formed and welded assemblies for the aerospace and power generation industries.
ACE selected Epicor Vantage because it recognised its ability to deliver better, faster decision-making capability.
The Epicor system optimises scheduling, enabling ACE to better manage costs, and provides real-time operational visibility - for everything from sales orders, job orders and purchase orders.
Judged by an independent panel of industry experts and analysts, the TandB awards are open to any manufacturing company that has been in business for more than three years and has been able to use technology to overcome a challenge or to solve a critical business issue through the use of technology.
The winners are highlighted in the Fall issue of Start-IT.
"We are honoured to again be recognised as a 'Technology Enabler' for providing industry leading technology and business solutions that empower global manufacturers," said John Hiraoka, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Epicor.
"This recognition validates our ongoing commitment to provide solutions that deliver a rapid return on investment and enable our clients to drive efficiency throughout their organisations".
