Cold Jet achieves dramatic improvements in information availability and the level of coordination and cooperation between departments with Epicor Vantage

Epicor Software, a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of the Global 1000, has announced Cold Jet, LCC has greatly improved communication across its global operations and gained better control over inventory with Epicor Vantage, a flexible enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution designed for mid to large sized progressive make-to-order (MTO) and mixed-mode manufacturers.

Cold Jet has experienced better coordination between departments and locations, eliminated messy and error-prone weekly data uploads and conversions, and improved overall business performance since implementing Epicor's manufacturing solution.

With Epicor, Cold Jet has seen dramatic improvement in the availability of information and the level of coordination and cooperation between departments.

"We have better control of our inventory and now that engineering is on board there's better coordination between engineering, production and purchasing," said de la Vega.

Cold Jet has experienced direct, measurable benefits as well: inventory days-on-hand is down by 43% and receivables days-outstanding has been cut by 15%.

In 2006 Cold Jet moved to Epicor's next generation manufacturing solution and the Microsoft SQL Server database, and has found even more ease and capabilities of their Epicor system.

Using Microsoft .NET and Web services technology, Vantage 8 features a 100% service-oriented architecture (SOA) offering new levels of application reliability, scalability, system interoperability and flexibility, combined with a rich user experience and low total cost of ownership.
