Lightblocks uses enterprise resource planning

Lightblocks has selected Epicor Manufacturing software to support the company's growth and increase efficiency across its manufacturing processes.

This will be the first time Lightblocks, a manufacturer of durable and adaptable light transmitting panels, has used an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

Epicor Manufacturing enables organisations to plan, schedule, execute and monitor the entire manufacturing business.

Built on service-oriented architecture (SOA) using Microsoft .Net and Web services, Epicor Manufacturing enables lean initiatives, real-time connectivity between supply-chain applications and partners and greater business agility.

Ken Bush, chief financial officer at Lightblocks, said: 'We create a different, custom product nearly every time.

'It was important that we found an ERP system that allowed us to break out of the mould of widgets and standard, repeat processes.
