Laser marking systems suit high or low volume work

Laser profiling centre makes light work
When visiting MACH 2002 earlier this year, having already made highly effective use of a laser profiling system installed 18 months previously, a subcontractor chose a second, more powerful type.
Managing director of Electrox, Howard Moore, said: "The Irish market is important to us and until now we have served our Irish customers from the UK.
The appointment of Codico as our distributors in Ireland is part of our investment to extend and increase the applications and service support with which we provide our customers".
"We selected Codico because it is one of the largest distributors of marking and coding systems in Ireland with a highly competent sales organisation and, just as importantly, an engineering support network which is second-to-none".

"We shall, as usual, be attending the MEDTEC Ireland 2005 exhibition in Galway at the end of September so this appointment is well-timed for that too." Electrox is one of few fully integrated manufacturers of laser marking systems, developing a comprehensive range of laser markers for a wide range of applications.
Its range complements the existing portfolio of Codico, which sells and supports ink jet, thermal transfer and CO2 marking systems throughout Ireland.
Established in 1988, Codico has developed its business from a three-man operation to over twenty people by focussing on customer support and applications engineering.
Indeed its first employee was an applications engineer.
An energetic and vigorous company, Codico is currently moving into a new headquarters building to accommodate its increased size, the third time the company has been forced to move into larger premises in barely fifteen years.
Codico is justifiably proud of its six hour mean-time-to-response record.
Cliff Bond, managing director and owner of the company, said: "We are delighted to have won the distributorship for Electrox lasers".
"All the products we sell are high quality, well engineered and well supported so these lasers sit comfortably with our existing range".
"We wanted in particular to be able to offer the Nd:YAG laser marking technology, which we believe has a considerable value in our markets".
"We also wanted to be in a position to offer customers solutions to application problems, and Electrox is well placed to do this with a substantial applications development department backed by its in-house design and development team".
"The addition of the Electrox lasers to our portfolio will also extend our potential market into areas which until now have been closed to us so this is a good business opportunity." Bond added: "We were looking for a suitable Nd:YAG laser marking system prior to our appointment, and chose Electrox because we know them to be a highly professional company, and our market research across Ireland, the UK and the Unites States of America verified our view".
"We were invited to visit the manufacturing plant and were impressed with the quality of the manufacture, on-time delivery, the level of research and development and the extensive pre-delivery testing to which every laser is subjected".
"We also felt them to be a very progressive company, so feel assured that the products will remain capable of meeting current market requirement". Request free introductory details about products from Electrox ...
