How can you automatically collect different measurements from more than one gauge, into a computer, without constantly pulling out cables? Read on for an answer.

When taking measurements you can do one of 3 things: 1) Measure and compare against a drawing's specification; 2) Measure, record and analyse the data on paper or, ideally 3) Record your measurements directly into a computer for automatic storing, analysis and report generation Most computers, however, have only one input port and often there is more than one measurement to take - diameter, weight, temperature, etc

So how can you automatically collect different measurements from more than one gauge, into a computer, without constantly pulling out cables? Elcometer are pleased to announce that they will be showing, for the first time, a brand new range equipment to allow you to meet this ideal - the Dataputer Range of Multiplexers and Software.

Features of the Dataputer range include: * A range of multiplexers: Allowing you to connect from a single gauge up to a maximum of 16 different gauges at one time.

* Multiple connection types: Gauges have different connections - analogue, digital / digimatic, or RS232C - our multiplexers can manage all or a mixture of these, easily! * A Total solution: Normally you have to type the readings into a spreadsheet.

yourself!, DataXL(tm) allows you to put your data into your spreadsheet, where you want it, without touching the computer! * Full compatibility: You can connect our multiplexers to almost all SPC software packages, including the Dataputer SPC software Datastat.
