Hydraulic accessories offered for machine tools

Plugs, fillers, breather caps, filler inlet baskets and level indicators are offered in colour coded technopolymers together with magnetic plugs and circulation sight domes for machine tools.

The expertise of Elesa-Clayton in supply of accessories for the machine tool industry has led them to introduce a range of specialised items related to the hydraulic equipment found on machine tools.

Plugs, fillers, breather caps, filler inlet baskets and level indicators are offered in colour coded technopolymers together with magnetic plugs and circulation sight domes.

These accessories are associated with the hydraulic tanks of fixed equipment and vehicles; filler breathers have safety vents to release pressure from the system while the SFW series has both a pressure relief and vacuum breaker valve to prevent tank implosion where high fluid flow rates are experienced e.g telescopic multi-stage rams.

Specialist column level indicators are offered with or without temperature gauge and for use with corrosive fluids these are available with stainless steel mounting bolts and viton seals.

An example of this is a remote warning column level indicator for such applications as hydraulic oil reservoirs and oil tanks.

This is just one of the many level indicators, filler breathers, magnetic plugs, drain and blanking plugs in the Elesa-Clayton range.

In addition to visual readout of oil level, the HCX/E features AC/DC electronic signal generation when the oil level drops to a minimum.

This is achieved by a black polyamide expanded technopolymer float with a built-in magnetic element, which activates the (normally open) contacts (normally closed also available) when the level crosses its alarm threshold.

The body of the HCX/E is similar to other Elesa-Clayton vertical column level indicators, being of easy to read design, resistant to most oils and hydrocarbon derivatives (except alcohol).

The assembly is completed with a sensor bracket containing a built-in reed relay wired to a swivelling 2-pin connector.

This permits front or side output (left or right) with minimum IP65 protection.

Maximum working temperature is 90degC.

The Elesa-Clayton hydraulic accessory series includes a comprehensive selection of plugs each marked with relevant identification e.g fill, drain, magnetic as appropriate.

Other plug-in variants include oil level indicators and level/temperature indicators.

All Elesa-Clayton accessories are available in a range of conventional industry standard sizes - e g filler breather caps to accept dipsticks come in metric (M10-M35) and BSP (1/4-1).
