Machinery vibration dampened out

An Elesa (UK) product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Feb 10, 2003

Elastomer anti-vibration damping in a metal levelling foot isolates machine tools, machinery and equipment from its environment.

Elastomer anti-vibration damping in the new LM.SV metal levelling foot from Elesa-Clayton isolates equipment from its environment.

Typical applications are in metal working or wood working industries but apply anywhere that vibration gives rise to health and safety issues or where equipment requires to be stabilised.

This is of course in addition to the normal benefits to be expected from the equipment levelling feature of these items.

Destructive vibrations are damped in both directions by the PUR-elastomer (Sylomer V12) insert.

Vibrations from equipment mounted on LM.SV feet are damped thus protecting people and processes in the surrounding environment.

Equally where delicate equipment is mounted using LM.SV's then it becomes protected from external shocks transmitted through the floor.

LM.SV feet are zinc plated steel with glued-in PUR inserts and are available in foot diameters of 32mm (M10 thread) to 60mm (M16 thread).

Load capacities of from 280N to 1050N are offered dependant upon diameter.

Within these loads vibration damping conforms to the specifications graphed in the new "Pink" catalogue from Elesa-Clayton.

Using the graphs provided designers may calculate the damping effect to be expected in any particular case.
