The Elesa DD51 and DD52 direct drive Digital Position indicators are 4 and 5 digit sealed case units in a high impact technopolymer housing which is ultrasonically welded making them ideal for shaft drive position readouts in industrial environments.

This aspect has now been further enhanced by the availability of an additional front seal to prevent ingress of dust in arduous conditions, and of stainless steel reduction sleeves.

Reduction sleeves allow the shaft size accommodated to go from 14mm down to 6mm in the DD51 and from 20mm to 12mm in the DD52.

It is also possible to obtain the DD series to IP67 sealing in batch quantities.

Clearly legible readout is an essential feature of any instrument and this is dealt with by provision of 4 reading positions which may be specified to suit the orientation dependant on such factors as horizontal or vertical shaft fitment.

A clear magnifying lens also aids this feature.

A large selection of standard ratios is available for clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation, so that generally all that is required is an operating element such as a handwheel or crank handle to complete the installation.

Many other mechanical position indicators are also available from Elesa in special configurations.

They include independent mount and insert types for use in operating wheels.
