Ball transfer units move heavy loads
A high quality range of ball transfer units move workpieces or sub-assemblies and will fit into any conveyor system to provide inear or rotary movement of heavy loads, such as sheet steel.
GN509 units are modular push fit ball assemblies featuring a large centre load contact ball with a 'nest' of smaller friction reducing balls in a hemi-spherical cup.
Application is generally in a matrix format which ensures that at least three ball units are in contact with the load at any time in both X- and Y-axis - thus ensuring good stability and load carrying capacity at conveying speeds of up to 2m/s.
GN509 units are available in 12mm to 60mm ball sizes with static load capacities up to 13000N.
Fitment is by simple drop in location and spring retainer rings are available to more easily facilitate removal. Request a free brochure from Elesa (UK) ...
