Machine elements displayed at Scottish show
On show at Manufacturing Technology Scotland are many examples of Elesa-Clayton standard machine elements, including new products such as Hinges, Levelling Feet, and the expanding Ergostyle range.
Loads include sheet steel, pallets, work jigs, etc, either under gravity or manual control.
GN509 units are modular push fit ball assemblies featuring a large centre load contact ball with a 'nest' of smaller friction reducing balls in a hemi-spherical cup.
Application is generally in a matrix format which ensures that at least three ball units are in contact with the load at any time in both X- and Y-axis.
This feature ensures good stability and load carrying capacity at conveying speeds of up to 2m/s, said Elesa.
GN509 units are available in 12mm to 60mm ball sizes with static load capacities up to 13000N.
Fitment is by simple drop in location and spring retainer rings are available to more easily facilitate removal. Request a free brochure from Elesa (UK) ...
