Sorter and grader does not bind or grip parts

An Elscint Automation product story

Designed to feed and sort and grade components having cylindrical and spherical geometry the rolls of this unit do not bind or grip the parts and are extremely sensitive to fine tolerances.

Elscint Sorting and Grading Unit is designed to feed and sort and grade components having cylindrical and spherical geometry like Balls, Rollers, Needle Rollers, Gems etc.

operating at a rate in excess of 200 pieces/min, depending on the size of the components.

The system utilizes Elscint Vibratory Parts Feeders of suitable model to feed the parts to a set of powered gauge rolls.

Elscint Bowl Feeders come in five Models, namely Model 100, Model 160, Model 250, Model 400 and Model 630 and are available for the Elscint Sorting and Grading Unit.

The inclination of the rolls, plus adjustable roll spacing from one end to the other enables parts to move / travel easily and rapidly into the desired position, while moving them to the discharge point.

Undersized parts are first separated, followed by those within tolerance.

Oversize and damaged parts continue to the end of the rolls and are discharged into a separate container.

An important feature is that the rolls, being counter-rotating, do not bind or grip the parts and are extremely sensitive to fine tolerances.

By increasing the rotational speed of the Rolls more accuracy can be achieved.

The Unit also comes with a Sensor, a control panel and a variable / fixed speed AC or DC motor fitted with an Elscint Reduction Unit.

The standard unit has an accuracy of approximately 20 microns.

However, accuracies of even 5 microns can be achieved.
