Elscint Automation has developed a special type of vibratory bowl feeder for segregating assembled and semi-assembled radiator valves.

Elscint Automation has developed a special type of vibratory bowl feeder for segregating assembled and semi-assembled radiator valves.

It does so through a vibratory bowl feeder without the need of a costly vision system, said the company.

The radiator valve assembly has five parts.

Even if any one part is not assembled in the assembly, it must be rejected.

There are numerous permutations and combinations that need to be segregated.

The ability to handle the radiator valve assemblies has been made possible by the development of Elsinct's Vibratory Bowl Feeder Model 400.

A claimed feed rate of 150 pieces per minute is being achieved with the feeder, which has helped reduce the time lost whilst producing the final radiator assembly.

Elsinct added that it is now possible for users to undertake segregation of a variety of components through vibratory bowl feeder technology.
