Among a number of new injection moulding process developments from Engel are X-melt for small precision parts, thin wall injection moulding and the Foammelt process for high rigidity.

In addition to this, ENGEL cooperation partners from the packaging industry had the opportunity of presenting their businesses and demonstrating their expertise on running machines.
Interesting talks by experts for experts showcased the event.
For example, Fabio Crestani from the Swiss injection mould manufacturers Hofstetter, and Helmut Gries from GWK talked about the "Fascination of Thin-Wall Injection Moulding", while Marco Versini from Beck Automation talked about integrated automation solutions for injection moulding machines.
The Exhibits ENGEL demonstrated manufacturing of stackable boxes using a mould by Haidlmair on a compact, large-scale, dual-platen machine (DUO 4550/700).
An ENGEL E-MOTION with full electric drive technology (E-MOTION 740/180T) demonstrated production of a cup by Fratelli Bianchi.
The ENGEL macPET (320/130/96) with a 4-station take-off unit for optimum cooling of the preform was fitted with a 96-fold mould by MHT for producing 18g preforms.
More than 350 visitors from 24 countries experienced the latest trends and technologies from the packaging industry at first hand The Highlights: The fastest in-mould labelling system on the market - demonstrated on a SPEED 180/55 equipped with a toggle lever to reduce dry running times, a highly dynamic movement sequence, and a fully automatic closed loop cooling water control system for optimum mould temperature control.
And: The new ENGEL Speed 380/70 with a high-performance injection unit, including a complete production system for manufacturing of 90,000 light caps per hour by KTW, including a Vision checking system for 100 percent quality assurance.
Numerous talks on the topic of packaging rounded the program off.
More than 350 visitors from 24 countries were thrilled by ENGEL's packaging expertise.
Many visitors took the opportunity to exchange experiences, and to network with potential business partners over an evening meal.
