Conditioning brushes will remove mbedded materials from the surface of polishing pads and so improve the performance of many technical polishing processes.

By using conditioning brushes, many technical polishing processes can be improved by the removal of embedded materials from the surface of polishing pads In addition, using conditioning brushes on frequent, fixed schedule will achieve significant process stability and improve pad life

This type of conditioning brush is commonly used by manufacturers of hard-disk substrates, silicon, GaAs, glass, optics, quartz and other single and double-sided applications.

The conditioning brushes are available for all double-sided lapping and polishing machines.

Each brush is custom designed based on specific application and pad requirements.

Engis (UK) is bringing the PR Hoffman range of conditioning brushes to the UK market.

Many of today's most challenging superfinishing and polishing applications can only be resolved with the help of suppliers with an in-depth knowledge of both materials and applications - Engis Corporation is just such a supplier.

Engis products are marketed and supported by Henley-on-Thames-based Engis UK, where staff with specialized application knowledge are on-hand to offer customers technical advice on polishing issues.

John Wellings, Engis UK managing director, commented: "The PR Hoffman range perfectly complements Engis' offerings in this area, with products manufactured to the same, very high standards that we expect from our own products.".
