Technology on show at a forthcoming Open Days will includes five-axis Chiron machining centres and one-hit machining on Nakamura-Tome twin-spindle, twin-turret turning centres A two-day technology event at The Engineering Technology Group's showroom in Southam will give engineering companies the chance to see an integrated approach to manufacturing processes

Running on 1st and 2nd of May, 2007, the event, entitled 'From Model to Manufacture' brings together Engineering Technology Group members with strategic partners Sandvik and Desktop Engineering.

Richard Blake, managing director of Chiron said, "Visitors will be able to see how we can design, deliver and install a complete manufacturing process from a solid model.

Starting with programming and design in Catia, courtesy of Desktop Engineering, we then move on to manufacturing processes." He added: "The technology on show will includes five-axis Chiron machining centres and one-hit machining on Nakamura-Tome twin-spindle, twin-turret turning centres from Turning Technologies, working with the latest cutting tool solutions from Sandvik.
