Beware of confusing advice about
solvents
Commenting on a recent statement from the European Chlorinated Solvents Association, concerning vapour degreasing systems, Enviro Tech Europe questions conflicting advice.
The European Chlorinated Solvents Association (ECSA) continue to assert (Manufacturingtalk, March 15, 2006) that trichloroethylene ('Trike') can continue in use where "High quality cleaning requirements make substitution impossible" Enviro Tech Europe's Derek Carpenter asks: "Does this fit with the need for substitution under the Solvent Emissions Directive and Article 7 in particular? Do transfer systems contribute to solvent reduction?" Most vapour degreasers are 'open topped' and exceed 1 tonne of solvent per annum
This demands users understand their obligations.
Enviro Tech Europe said that if this is important to you, to take advantage of independent specialist advice and a free assessment of your process needs.
Remember the legal obligations fall on the user so always verify the facts.
The popular alternative to 'Trike' is EnSolv.
The choice is yours, says the Company. Request a free brochure from Enviro Tech Europe ...
