Trichloroethylene 'may cause cancer'

As well as environmental considerations, evidence that the use of trichloroethylene 'may cause cancer' has accelerated interest in using alternative vapour cleaners/degreasing solvents.

Evidence that the use of trichloroethylene 'may cause cancer' has accelerated interest in using alternative vapour cleaners/degreasing systems like Ensolv solvents At Enviro tech Europe, sales and marketing director, Derek Carpenter, examples the company's European success of its EnSolv family of solvents as an alternative to trichloroethylene (or 'trike') for vapour degreasing

Carpenter said: "Trike has served industries' needs well in past years but the growing evidence that resulted in a classification 'May Cause Cancer', and resulting legal obligations to find an alternative as soon as possible, has focused peoples mind and a rush to change has begun".

"EnSolv has the best characteristics for replacement as other products have low boiling temperatures which limit cleaning time in vapour and often result in poor performance".

Boeing and Airbus approve the EnSolv range.

More recently the USEPA has expressed its determination to accept EnSolv chemistry as meeting SNAP approval.

Enviro Tech has unique comparisons on commonly used solvents obtained through In Vitro Bioassay studies that reflect impact on humans more accurately than animal studies.

Ensolv offers a free DVD which explains the results. Request a free brochure from Enviro Tech Europe ...

Carpenter concluded: " Whilst all our European distributors report excellent results, we are delighted to offer specialist support to users as they make immediate changes to Trike using existing machinery.".
