The Regulators are getting tough on polluters.
Pollution incidents can now result in expensive fines, prosecution, clean up costs, bad publicity, associated loss of business, and even imprisonment.
Few businesses can afford these penalties, and yet putting preventative measures in place can be simple and achieved at relatively little expense.
Eco Technology provides an Environmental Awareness and Spillage Response Training Course to help focus on these issues, and to educate staff in how and why to deal with spills.
The course covers key legislation, good practice for bunding and storage, health and safety considerations, application of absorbents and other materials, risk assessment and procedures.
Courses are tailor made to the site and its activities.
Clients around the UK include those within power generation, automotive, oil, food, manufacturing, logistics and even the Environment Agency.
Additional courses include waste management for business, waste and environmental law, environmental awareness and ISO14001, Carriage of Dangerous Goods, CIWM Waste Awareness Certificate, and many more.
