Detectable vacuum suction cups overcome worst 'nightmare' of food manufacturers and customers alike: finding 'ingredients' in bread or meat products that are not precisely part of the recipe.

The worst nightmare of food manufacturers and customers alike: finding 'ingredients' in bread or meat products that are not precisely part of the recipe Metal parts can be located with the aid of suitable metal detectors

But how do you find silicone products, for example, from which De-panning belt vacuum suction cups are made? These products are used, for example, to lift bread, cake and pastries out of their mould/trays etc In view of the large number of suction cups used in the food-handling industry, it is possible for a suction cup to be damaged, a part of it dropping into the food.

Up to now, such parts could not be detected.

E-Components and Chains Limited (ECC) have recognized this potential problem and have now introduced their Detectamet detectable vacuum suction cups made of a food grade-approved silicone material.

The new Detectamet de-panning suction cups are available in two grades of material designed to suit specific bakery products: * Hard Cups for Standard Bread Products.

* Soft Cups for Morning Goods / Lighter Seeded Products.
