From June 2005, E-Components and Chains (ECC) will be offering a Detectamet metal detectable plastic stylus The Detectamet stylus is made of a firm but non-scratching plastic suitable for writing on today's very popular personal digital assistants (PDAs)

These pen-based palmtop computers are made by Palm, Handspring, Hewlett Packard, Casio and others.

The Detectamet Hygiene Range stylus has been specifically developed for the food processing industry and adds a new dimension to the claim of using 'all due diligence'.

The products in this range are all produced from a specially formulated material based on high-impact food-contact-approved polypropylene.

This material has the ability to be detected and rejected by typical metal detection machines used in the food processing industry.

Typical benefits associated with the Detectamet range are: food-contact certificates held; particles are detectable and rejectable; X-ray visible; prevents damage to delicate and expensive equipment; cost-effective compared with other materials; tough and durable; easy to clean; and virtually unbreakable.

Standard Detectamet products include: stylus, pens, hygiene gloves, shovels, scoops, spades, scrapers, stirrers and more.

The company can also investigate special products/applications for customers.
