E-Components and Chains (ECC) is launching a new rage of metal-detectable o-rings and gasket material for the food, pharmaceutical and similar industries The Detectamet MSR material is a specially formulated grade of silicone rubber, blue in colour, and offers the following: Detectamet MSR is a metal-detectable, general-purpose compound having good mechanical properties; features include good heat stability inside temperature range; shore hardness 45 +/- 5 degrees; elongation at break 600 per cent; tensile strength 8.0MPA; tear strength 15kN/m; specific gravity 1.2; operating temperature range -70C to +200C; compression set 36 per cent
