Worn conveyor wearbend sections repaired readily
No longer does the user have to replace the whole corner wearbend section of a conveyor system when wear is evident as worn areas can be repaired using a ceramic filled grade of plastics.
Treads reduce slips and falls in the work place
Made from isophthalic resin that is corrosion resistant, fire resistant and extremely hard wearing a range of tread plates can be fitted over the top of existing stair treads.
Even the smallest of particles is detectable and rejectable.
Ongoing developments in food safety regulations require higher standards in the food processing industry.
Therefore ECC/Detectamet offers metal-detectable materials for dry, frozen or wet environments to meet these high standards.
Available metal-detectable materials are: BLF blue polyethylene (for -73 to +27C) with antibacterial protection; BHF blue polypropylene (for +4 to +104C) with antibacterial protection; and BSF blue acetal (for -40 to +60C) with antibacterial protection.
In 2001 the process was started with the development of metal-detectable materials as a standard application for a potato plant.
The harsh environment in this industry resulted in a detectable and wear-resistant material.
Interest in this material has grown.
Amongst others, the vegetable and bakery industry are applying this technology either in new or existing installations.
Metal-detectable materials are protected as standard with the Microban antibacterial additive.
The Microban ensures improved hygiene, especially between regular cleaning operations and production start-up.
Metal-detectable materials with active protection against food poisoning bacteria and fungi are important developments in a total food safety program.
Detectamet metal-detectable materials are available as follows.
* 505 series (sideflexing 0.5in pitch belt).
* 1255 series (sideflexing 1.25in pitch belt).
* 1500 series (straight running 15mm pitch belt).
* 1000 series (straight running 1in pitch belt).
* 2010 series (straight running 2in pitch belt).
Please consult the technical support department at ECC for application calculations.
ECC's Detectamet metal-detectable materials comply with FDA regulations and are suitable for direct food contact.
