Energy contracts save clients millions of pounds
Energy purchasing broker has revealed that its market-leading advice to purchase energy on two-year contracts has so far saved its UK clients many tens of millions of pounds.
Brian Rickerby, joint Managing Director of Energyteam, explained: "Saving energy has never been as important as it is today for businesses of all sizes.
But it can be difficult to find out the best way to go about it.
"That's why we've produced this handy guide and are going around the country meeting businesspeople and explaining how straightforward it can be to be more energy efficient - and so save on your energy costs." At the most recent Energyteam Energy Forum, held at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, delegates looked at the reasons gas and electricity prices have risen so much in recent years and what is likely to happen in the future.
The next Forum will be held on 24 th January at The Institute of Civil Engineers in London and further events are being planned, including a Spring Forum in Birmingham.
Each event will focus on a specific area of topical importance to commercial energy users with a keynote guest speaker.
Brian Rickerby added: "The recent major increases in energy prices have had a real impact on businesses all round the country.
Where previously energy had been a relatively low priority on a company's agenda, the meteoric rise in energy costs has meant it is now a board issue requiring immediate attention.
"I believe companies should seriously consider introducing an 'energy policy' which forms an integral part of running their operations effectively.
We regularly come across organisations that have no real idea where and why they're using the energy they are." Delegates also heard about the possibilities for generating their own renewable energy on-site thanks to guest speaker Dr Andrew Jolly from Equis Energy.
"With government policy increasingly encouraging small-scale generation, this is an option well worth considering for many companies and organisations," added Brian Rickerby.
