Metal detector has a memory function that allows it to store a number of different settings for different products, and change everything quickly and easily.

Metal detectors check plastics scrap before re-use
Three tunnel-type metal detectors prevent metal contamination in scrap plastics to ensure a steady and continuous feed of recyclable material to granulators.
Already operating one of Eriez metal detectors on an existing line, when The Authentic Curry Company wanted to increase their capacity they approached Eriez for a second packing line of ready meals.
With quality control being important for nationwide customers and leading retailers, making sure that no foreign bodies get into the meals is an extremely important and sensitive function.
The consequences of poor quality control would be distressing for the customer, but more so for The Authentic Curry Company which is justifiably proud of its products.

Metal detectors guard against metal contamination
Three Eriez Metalarm 7000 single-sider metal detectors and one purpose-designed Eriez Metalarm 3500 metal detector with special plate coil have been acquired by an extruder and printer.
By installing the metal detector at the end of the packing line the company is confident of maintaining a high quality control.
Eriez installed a 20C Metal Detector in a sanitary stainless steel finish along with a conveyor.
This is a high sensitivity detector with integral control for the installation of a belt conveyor.
Technical director of The Authentic Curry Company, Huw Barnes, is delighted with the result.
"We have had good service and support from Eriez in the past".
"They worked with us on the choice of metal detector, the design, and everything else, so we had a totally bespoke line," said Barnes.
"Because the detector has a memory function it allows us to store a number of different settings for different products, and change everything quickly and easily," Barnes added.
Another advantage was the automated conveyor allowed The Authentic Curry Company to inkjet information directly on the top of the packs as they pass down the line.
Kay Armstrong from Eriez UK sales division was pleased to be able to provide a good service to a good customer.
"Frozen and chilled foods can be quite difficult because of the 'product' effect, where the food at certain temperatures can produce an electric current that is read as a metal object by the metal detector," she said.
"But we measured up, looked at the general application, and were able to customise the unit to suit the customer's needs." Eriez are able to supply bespoke metal detection and magnetic protection solutions for the food industry. Request a free brochure from Eriez Magnetics Europe ...
