Guide describes latest TIG welding
machines

TIG welding equipment guide covers an extensive range of TIG welding machines - from 'go anywhere' types to advanced wortkshop units - as well as torches and accessories.

A new TIG Welding Equipment guide is available from ESAB The 12-page publication covers the company's extensive range of DC and AC/DC TIG welding machines, torches and accessories

For users who need a portable machine capable of producing high-quality TIG welds, the OrigoTig and CaddyTig models are excellent DC single-phase machines.

Suitable for use indoors or outdoors, these 'go anywhere' TIG welders have multi-function digital displays and a variety of features to deliver reliable results whatever the application.

Both the OrigoTig and CaddyTig are supplied as complete packages, with the power source, TIG torch, work return cable and electrode holder.

Where more welding current is required, the PowerTig DC models use inverter technology within a sturdy, easy-to-use design.

A number of useful facilities are provided on the power source, such as scope down and post gas control, plus there is a user-selectable choice of ignition methods.

These power sources can also be used for MMA welding, in which case the inbuilt hot start and arc force control provide excellent welding characteristics.

Demanding applications and the need for advanced welding capabilities are addressed by the AristoTig DC models.

These machines are available with or without water cooling and are fully featured in terms of controls, displays and memory.

For AC/DC TIG welding, the HandyTig is compact and portable, with automatic and preset functions that make it particularly easy to use.

However, if more power is required, the higher-specification AristoTig AC/DC models produce high quality results on all weldable materials.

The ultimate in AC/DC TIG welding is provided in the form of the Heliarc AC/DC 252 and 352 machines.

These are rugged, electronically controlled power supplies that are supplied factory-fitted with undergear and a cylinder tray.

Furthermore, these 'workhorse' machines benefit from full remote control facilities and can be linked to an optional water cooling unit.

While many of the TIG welding machines described in the new brochure can be supplied as ready-to-use packages, there are others for which the torch must be purchased separately.

Various model of torch are described in the brochure, with cable lengths of 4m or 8m.

The advanced design ensures greater current capacity is maintained, especially when water cooling is employed.

Lastly, the TIG Welding Equipment brochure describes the Tigaid 315 AC/DC add-on unit that converts MMA power sources, transformers and rectifiers for use in TIG applications.

Lightweight and easily portable, the Tigaid unit controls the current, HF ignition and gas flow, plus it incorporates slope and remote functions. Request a free brochure from ESAB ...
