ESAB CD details safety protection equipment
Welding equipment manufacturer, ESAB, is making available a free CD that details the latest personal protection equipment, welding tools and accessories.
There are now 255 welding parameter memory positions (increased from 99), which allow the storage of more settings for different applications.
The Aristo U8 is also prepared for a Compact Flash memory, which the operator can use to transfer settings from one controller to an other or for downloading onto a PC for e-mailing to other Aristo users.
The system automatically monitors quality data for each weld - arc time, minimum and maximum current, voltage and power.
All data can be stored on the Compact Flash memory and used as quality documentation for the weldments.
A file manager system allows the operator to manage the files and folders and to organise the data in a structured way.
'Negative hot start' is a new function, which has the following advantages.
* It reduces post weld labour in the circumferential welding of tubes.
* It deposits less weld metal during the start, resulting in an even weld all around the tube.
* It is also an advantage when starting on tack welds. Request a free brochure from ESAB ...
