Sames develops high-speed auto-paint sprayer

An Exel Industrial UK product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Aug 22, 2008

Sames has developed the PPH 707-SB, a sprayer intended for automakers and equipped with an HST (high-speed turbine).

This makes it possible to apply paint at high flow rates (up to 1,000cc per minute), and reduces the number of robots needed.

It can be combined with the 'bowl/bowl' process, resulting in perfect colour and very high paint-transfer performance.

Due to its transfer efficiency (ratio between the amount of product actually applied to the part and the total amount of product used), the PPH 707-SB sprayer also reduces the VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emitted by paints.

By applying up to 90 per cent of the sprayed paint to the auto body part, it contributes to preserving the environment.
