For high-precision application such as production, assembly and packaging lines, side-friction precision conveyor systems convey any reasonably flat objects, including products on flat pallets.

Following its acquisition of the intellectual property rights of PJ Automation (PJA), Excel Automation has introduced a Hazmac-style range of side-friction precision conveyor systems General manager at Excel, Gary Sweeney, said that the addition of the Hazmac range, which will include light-duty and heavy-duty variants, gives Excel the most extensive range of UK manufactured conveyors in the materials handling industry

He added that the company has received a very positive reaction from former Hazmac and PJA customers in the automotive and petrochemical industries.

The former managing director of PJA, Paul Hazelton, has joined Excel to market the range.

The range includes systems used extensively in the automotive industry for engine assembly and test facilities where accuracy and repeatability are critical.

Although the mainly bespoke Hazmac systems are widely used in the automotive industry, they are designed to convey any reasonably flat objects, including products that are stored on flat pallets.

This feature makes them ideal for high-precision application such as production, assembly and packaging lines.
