Exico has introduced a new generation of robust and compact, sealed-for-life right angle worm gearboxes Suitable for both replacement and OEM applications, the MRT range offers designers and engineers an unusually broad range of models and options, ensuring that there is an optimised solution for every application

Typically for an Exico product, the new gearboxes represent leading quality engineering at highly competitive prices.

Availability is also guaranteed, as hundreds of gear ratios and every mounting option, in all ten sizes, are available direct from stock.

Exico's new MRT range provides real customer advantages through the number of options available; by offering a range of foot, face and flange mounts in ten sizes and hundreds of gearing combinations, an MRT unit can be matched to virtually any existing arrangement from stock.

This combination of flexibility and availability can eliminate downtime caused by manufacturer's extended delivery schedules and also the incumbent cost of replacing 'special' items.

To help guide customers through the selection process, Exico have produced a comprehensive and simple to use windows based selection programme on a CD, which is available free from Exico.

The programme runs directly from the CD so there is no need to install it onto the computer hard drive.

Jerry Hodek, Managing Director of Exico, explains "the large number of MRT variations enables us to provide a direct equivalent to almost any commonly used right angle worm gearboxes on the market, and offers users in all market sectors a real cost effective alternative to the units that they are currently using.

However, the range is not just suitable for the replacement market, the cost competitiveness and flexibility of the MRT design also means that we are ideally placed to provide OEM and USERS with a volume supply solution and help them to a real competitive advantage".

The six smaller MRT units, sizes 30 - 80 are available in lightweight aluminium, larger units up to the MRT180 are cast iron, for added strength.

Units intended for the food and chemical industries are available with stainless steel output shafts and fasteners.

All gearboxes are synthetic oil filled, lubricated and sealed-for-life, improving service life and removing the need for maintenance.

The boxes can be supplied in three versions: as fully motorised units, solid input versions (i.e with input shafts) and as motor ready units.

Exico customers can choose from one of the UK's largest stocks of Siemens and budget-priced Exico M-Series motors to add to their gearbox, providing all the added convenience and cost saving of using one supplier.

All MRT variations are supplied with a 12month warranty and are fully supported by Exico engineers.

Components such as brass worm and wheel sets, casings and bearings are all proven quality items, designed to extend product life and cope with high loads.

MRT gearboxes join the growing range of Exico branded power transmission products including: cast iron motors, high-efficiency motors, flameproof ATEX certified motors, in-line gearboxes and industrial fans, all guaranteed and supported by one of the UK's most successful and fastest growing power transmission supply specialists.
